Through sculpture,
photography and performance, my practice begins with objects, images and
everyday rituals deeply tied with gender, identity, labour and displacement. By
collecting, re-arranging and transforming materials that carry invisible social
structures and embodied experiences, I shift their
familiar properties, allowing them to occupy an ambiguous space in which the
narratives and symbolic values embedded within them can be re-examined and destablized. I engage with
existing objects and images not as fixed representations, but as ‘shells’ that can be opened, disrupted and reconfigured. Through this process, my
practice explores how identities are constructed, how labour is embodied and
valued, and how overlooked experiences can be translated into tangible forms.
